We are committed to a responsible and ethical approach to the environment while undertaking any improvements to the Holiday Parks and public recreational reserves under our management. Vegetation Management Plans have been prepared for our Holiday Parks and public recreation reserves which guide how we manage and care for the vegetation in these areas.

20/07/2017 Banner Park Tree removal work at Banner Park is scheduled for between Monday 31 July and Tuesday 1 August 2017. (PDF)

  • The removal of a Swamp Mahogany (identified as Tree 25) has been recommended by a Level-5 Arborist and has been approved by Byron Shire Council.
  • It has been identified as a high risk that complete tree failure is possible and the dead/dying tree represents a danger to public users of Banner Park.
20/07/2017 Torakina Reserve Tree maintenance and removal work at Torakina  Reserve is scheduled for between Monday 31 July and Tuesday 1 August 2017. (PDF)

The tree work, which has been recommended by a Level-5 Arborist and approved by Byron Shire Council, includes:

  • Removal of ten Coastal Banksias (Identified as Trees 56, 79, 123, 178, 191, 221, 227, 246, 255, 283)
  • Removal of two dead trees (Identified as Trees 64 and 80)
  • Pruning of one Racehorse Tree (Identified as Tree 16)
  • Pruning of two Coastal Banksias (Identified as Trees 30 and 247)
